The Journey Home

The last night in Yeppoon was a little bit downbeat. It had been a lovely break away from cold, wet Taipei and everyone would have preferred to stay a bit longer but there was a plane to catch in the early evening the next day.

Bailey spent some time getting to know Graham. The little bloke seemed to like Bailey.

The last day in Yeppoon was super-hot and very humid. For those who were taking a break from winter the best place to take an afternoon nap was the upstairs verandah.

Craig hung out with Dad not far away enjoying the sea breeze and view.

Craig's Dad didn't take another photo until Hong Kong airport. They had a lot of trouble on the way home. The Virgin Blue flight from Rockhampton to Brisbane was very late and they only just made it on to the Cathay Pacific flight to Hongkers. The Cathay staff at Brisbane Airport were very helpful and without their help the little family would have missed the flight. Craig's Dad was very grateful.

Meanwhile, Craig's Mum was super-tired because she had held Graham in her arms for almost all of the overnight flight. Just one of the joys of being a parent. Craig was tired too but he liked being pushed around on a baggage trolley.

Craig felt better after finishing a drink he had been given on the plane. He seemed to quite like Cathay's children's meals.

Craig had another trolley ride when he arrived back at Taoyuan Airport.

As soon as they arrived home it was time to go out for lunch. They wanted to sit outdoors because the sun was shining. But, Craig started to get a bit cold because the sun went behind some clouds almost as soon as they sat down. Craig borrowed his Dad's vest to stay warm. Craig's Mum reckons Craig looks like a Jedi warrior. She kept making light sabre noises while eating lunch. ;)
