Wintertime in Taipei

Cold, wet weather has been the forecast for many days in Taipei recently. There's no chance to do anything after getting home at night except stay inside and keep warm.

Craig has very quickly become accustomed to being picked up from kindy by Dad. Craig's favourite after-class relaxation method is to watch a video. Despite Dad's efforts to hide the portable DVD player, Craig will find it and watch whatever movie is inside.

He's entertained himself like this until dinner time at least twice in the last week. It probably isn't good for his eyes to be up so close to the screen but he's never in front of it for long.

Craig's Dad will need to do a better job of hiding the portable DVD player in future.

The only possible exercise for the two boys who have been indoors all day is an after-dinner walk along YongJi Rd. where there's shelter from the rain. The boys like to stop along the way but there's precious few things to look at. This fish tank in the window of a dentist's clinic is a favourite spot.

It has rained so much that on most days breakfast has become a very leisurely affair for Graham and Dad. There's no point in hurrying when you can't go out to play.
