The lack of Christmas spirit in Taiwan has been mentioned on this blog far too many times to need repeating ....... oops! In the morning, it was just another Tuesday. Craig was at kindy and Graham was at a local park making new friends. At least the weather was decent.
The only really good thing was that Craig's present from Santa arrived during the day. Mum gave it a quick trial.
Soon enough, Craig was home and the unwrapping of presents could begin.
Graham needed a tiny bit of help.
Craig really liked his trampoline.
Graham gave it a trial as well, with help from Mum for balance.
Craig showed off his present from his parents while bouncing.
And Graham got back on for another turn.
Then it was time to play with Graham's present.
It turned out to be much more difficult than it looked.
The fish didn't like coming out even when well-and-truly hooked!
Then, Mum surprised everyone by saying dinner would be had at Craig's favourite place! TGI Fridays. There was great excitement until they arrived at the restaurant without a booking and were told there was a 40-minute wait to get in! The boys were very good about heading for a nearby park to play while they waited.
Craig enjoyed himself by climbing where kids aren't supposed to climb on the jungle gym.
And, there was plenty of sliding together on the tiny little slide.
After a very long wait, they finally had dinner. Craig had his favourite children's meal, chicken fingers.
And Dad had German beer.
Craig was so happy he didn't mind putting on a Christmas hat for a photo.
Even Graham cooperated.
In fact, there were smiles all round.
But, perhaps the best part is, when you splash out at Christmas, the credit card bill doesn't come until next year!
