More of the Quiet Life

Craig and Graham have continued living a life of quiet certitude. They know that the same things will happen again and again on the appropriate days of week without fail. On the weekends, they will almost certainly be taken out to play in one or more of the parks near home.

On a weekend night,a walk might be taken. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is a favourite destination.

Graham likes to play with the flashing lights that are set in the ground in the car park.

It's quite difficult to get a photo of the light actually flashing ......

It's also difficult to get Craig to pose for a photo. If you count 1-2-3 he will turn his head on the count of 3!

So, taking a photo has to be more like 1-2-click.

Both boys are very attracted to drink vending machines. The park around the memorial hall has a few machines and the boys need to be dragged away.

Graham can stand there waiting for a drink for as long as it takes.

Another certainty in the boys' life is that they will be allowed to play on a jungle gym when Craig is being picked up on weekday afternoons from kindy. Sometimes, there will be plenty of other kids to play with too. In this case it was Ying-chi, the girl who lives on the ground floor.

One of the reasons Craig likes the jungle gym in his kindy is that he can do somersaults using this bar. A better picture might make it easier to understand..... next time.

Graham and Ying-chi get on very well. They sometimes spend time playing on this slide together.

Graham is taken care of the whole way down.

Back at home, Graham has started playing a very boring game where he turns a light switch off and on repeatedly. He even says "Ready, set, go!" each time before flicking the switch.

Despite Dad thinking it's a very boring game, Craig and Graham giggle like mad things. There's some things that parents just don't understand.
