Last Saturday was quite cool and very windy, perfect for going hiking. Craig's Dad intended to go to Elephant Mountain but got lost in the windy streets and finished up deciding to take a path up a hill that plenty of parking spaces at the bottom. On the way up he found out it was Tiger Mountain.
The trail followed a ridge and in a few places it would have been easy to fall off both sides. But, for most of the way bamboo lined one side of the path and the path was wide.
At the top Craig's Dad took a picture with Taipei 101 in the background but the top of the building was hiding behind a cloud.
The view was OK but affected by the low cloud and smog.
They stopped for a rest on the way down. Craig was pretty happy about being out and about. It was a lot more fun than staying at home.
They didn't go straight back home after the hike. Craig said he wanted to play on a jungle gym near the place the motor scooter had been parked. But, a lady gave him a bottle of soapy water to blow bubbles with. He liked that.
The top of Tiger Mountain looked like this when viewed from where Craig was standing.
Focusing in made it look a bit closer but didn't make it look like much of a "mountain".
